If an essential Windows file gets whacked by a virus or otherwise corrupted, restore it from the Windows CD. Search the CD for the filename, replacing the last character with an underscore; for example, Notepad.ex_. If it’s found, open a command prompt and enter the command EXPAND, followed by the full pathname of the file and of the desired destination: EXPAND D:\SETUP\NOTEPAD.EX_ C:\Windows\NOTEPAD.EXE. Stop global warming

Everyone concentrating to the problems related to terrorism, corruption etc.  But there is one of the dangerous problems “Global warming” about which we need to think and take action otherwise we may miss this chance too.

Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.

We’re already seeing changes. Glaciers are melting, plants and animals are being forced from their habitats, and the number of severe storms and droughts is increasing.

There is no doubt we can solve this problem. In fact, we have a moral obligation to do so. Small changes to your daily routine can add up to big differences in helping to stop global warming. The time to come together to solve this problem is now.

Your actions to reduce global warming can extend beyond how you personally reduce your own emissions. We all have influence on our schools, workplaces, businesses, and on society through how we make purchases, invest, take action, and vote.

We are all contributors to global warming and we all need to be part of the solution.

Here are some ways in which a person can contribute to solve this big problem.

Recycle more

You can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide

per year by recycling just half of your household

waste.

Use less hot water

It takes a lot of energy to heat water. Use less

hot water by installing a low-flow showerhead

(350 pounds of CO2 saved per year) and

washing your clothes in cold or warm water

(500 pounds saved per year).

Avoid products with a lot

Here’s a petty game which needs nothing but a working internet
connection (say, a notebook or cell phone), and Google.com’s web
search. The goal is to create the longest phrase that Google can find by
alternately adding one word to the end of the other player’s search
phrase. Say, the first person starts with “Feelings”. Now the second
person adds a word, “are”, so we get “Feelings are”... (Note the use of
quotation marks in the search query.)
Now every time a word is added, the phrase is searched for in Google,
and the resulting page count is announced to the group. The one
person who creates a sentence with zero results in Google loses and has
to do something silly (or if you want to play with points, he loses a
point, and the last person who created a sentence with results in Google
will win a point). To prevent cheating, the one whose turn is next is not
allowed to look at any search result snippet.
Let’s take our sample, and see what we get:
Saan: “Feelings” (53,200,000 results in Google)
Carla: “Feelings are” (2,100,000 results)
Ane: “Feelings are nothing” (1,090 results)

bermuda tringle mystery

History

The first mention of disappearances is in the area was made in 1950 by E.V.W. Jones as a sidebar on the Associated Press wire service regarding recent ship losses. Jones’ article notes the “mysterious disappearances” of ships, airplanes and small boats in the region, and ascribes it the name “The Devil’s Triangle”. It was next mentioned in 1952 in a Fate Magazine article by George X. Sand, who outlined several “strange marine disappearances”. The term “Bermuda Triangle” was popularized by Vincent Gaddis in a 1964 Argosy feature.

The area achieved its current fame largely through the efforts of Charles Berlitz in his 1974 book The Bermuda Triangle (right) and its subsequent film adaptation. The book recounts a long series of mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft, in particular the December 1945 loss of five U.S. Navy Avenger torpedo bombers in the infamous Flight 19 incident.
