Everyone concentrating to the problems related to terrorism, corruption etc.  But there is one of the dangerous problems “Global warming” about which we need to think and take action otherwise we may miss this chance too.

Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.

We’re already seeing changes. Glaciers are melting, plants and animals are being forced from their habitats, and the number of severe storms and droughts is increasing.

There is no doubt we can solve this problem. In fact, we have a moral obligation to do so. Small changes to your daily routine can add up to big differences in helping to stop global warming. The time to come together to solve this problem is now.

Your actions to reduce global warming can extend beyond how you personally reduce your own emissions. We all have influence on our schools, workplaces, businesses, and on society through how we make purchases, invest, take action, and vote.

We are all contributors to global warming and we all need to be part of the solution.

Here are some ways in which a person can contribute to solve this big problem.

Recycle more

You can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide

per year by recycling just half of your household

waste.

Use less hot water

It takes a lot of energy to heat water. Use less

hot water by installing a low-flow showerhead

(350 pounds of CO2 saved per year) and

washing your clothes in cold or warm water

(500 pounds saved per year).

Avoid products with a lot
